Yoga retreat in Morocco

I am a full time photographer, but I am also a part time teacher. Which means I have one and a half jobs?!

Anyway I organised a yoga retreat in Morocco with my partner to escape the fast arrival of Autumn in the UK and for my first retreat abroad I couldn't have hoped for a better time…

Our guests were part of my local community in London (where I teach) which meant everyone got along and were receptive to the long conversations we had about all things philosophy (one of my favourite subjects).

We were staying in a wonderful villa in the middle of the mountains, hosted by the lovely Nadia who created the perfect Moroccan escape for us with the delicious fruits and veg from the garden and an idyllic environment.

Manira Palm, our wonderful retreat center, is home to the most gorgeous sunsets.

The food was outstanding and we made a point of eating everywhere we could in the house as each dedicated space was beautiful and comfortable.

We explored the busy medina at the heart of Marrakesh, followed by a well deserved tea break before we headed back.

We visited Agafay Desert and had dinner around a campfire.

And of course my partner and I taught yoga twice a day, and led discussions around themes we chose.

We loved it so much that we are doing the same next year … watch this space.
