Common fears before a yoga photoshoot

Throughout my career as a photographer - and a yoga photographer, I’ve encountered a lot of people expressing completely valid fears before booking a photoshoot.
Paying someone to take pictures of you can be a quite scary experience, so with this article I hope to appease some of the worries you might also have. As someone who was also on the other side of the lens, I can only relate!

I don't have a yoga body

Every body is a yoga body.

And even if it's true that you don't have the body normally associated with the practice the skinny white flexible woman has had enough exposure. Now it's your turn.
I've never done a photoshoot before.

That's my job as a photographer to make you feel comfortable
Everybody is a good model under the right lens and under the right direction
As the person who is posing you will be supported from A to S - by me, or the photographer you choose.
It's my job to make you feel like a pro!

I feel silly doing asanas on camera

It's perfectly normal we normally practice asanas when we practice yoga so doing it on camera can feel really uncomfortable because it's not natural or authentic , because it's not yoga.

I like to think of pictures and other marketing tools as a way to expand my reach and be able to be of service of more people.
