3 places to go in Ischia, Italy
For someone who has taken up Spanish as a third language, I travel an awful lot to Italy. I picked the beautiful island of Ischia upon researching where to go with my mum. She has always been a keen traveller albeit not so savvy with Internet, and hasn’t been blessed with the patience it takes to look for stuff to do on Google for hours.
Ischia is an island closed to Naples accessible by hydrofoil which is a fast boat, or a ferry which is a little bit slower. It is known for its thermal water which I thought was perfect for my 68 yo mum looking to chill.
I have explored the island a little bit in between spa filled days and I have gathered my 3 favourite spots for you to look at.
Botania Relais Hotel Spa
I love love love its architecture and there is a vegetarian restaurant within the facilities that you can enjoy if exploring the park gets too tiring. If like me you are an avid architecture fan, you will love the white walls mixed with luscious vegetation to create a calm and tropical atmosphere.
Giardini Ravino
Lesser known than Giardini La Mortella (which is also stunning), this beautiful botanical garden has the particularity of being home to succulents and cacti.
Ristorante La Rondinella
The food was glorious but the star of the show was the sunset … I recommend booking in advance if you are coming on a weekend.
